‘Las Vega’s fame Molly Sims will host 2009 EIA charity fund raiser

Molly Sims, the regular face of ‘Las Vegas‘ is going to be the host of 2009 EI Faro fundraiser. The event is going to be held on 24 September, 2009 at Boulevard 3 in Los Angeles. You can book your tickets like I did if you want to give charity.

EI Faro is an organization that uses the charity money to perk up the lives of children of CASA Hogar Sion and is like a fortune for the children who have been deserted or physically abused or left neglected. This orphanage provides them good education, living facilities and healthy surroundings. There ultimate long term goal is to make children able to do work to earn their living and they have many short term goals to inculcate good habits in them. They regularly take out children for outdoor activities and picnics to realize them that they are loved and important.

Molly Sims has taken an appreciable step to host the show. I started watching her in NBC television series and in no time there was an addition (me) in the list of her uncountable fans list. She did not took much time to start coming in my dreams and becoming a regular feature. I have also kept her cute photograph in my room.

She has portrayed her character in ‘Las Vegas‘ very well. The character was very interesting being involved with more than one man. The character is shown with a boyfriend (Danny) in starting and then accepts the proposal of college flame (Derick) but changes her mind five minutes before marriage and again involves with her old boyfriend. Isn’t it quite complicated? But that happens in real world too. That is what producers have tried to show. They have illustrated what actually has been going on in society.

James Caan, the star of ‘Las Vegas’ tv show, is about to appear in the Philippe Martinez Production’s ‘Tribes of October’. The Film is directed by Philippe Martinez. He will appear in the film along with other stars like Jaime King, Stephan Moyer, Robert Duvall, Paul Sloan and Ray Stevenson. The teaser image of the upcoming film was released by the producers. The film focuses on the post apocalyptic New York that is surrounded by desert on all the sides. There, a detective is on a duel mission - he is to ice the mafia don who is indulged in taking out all that is left of NYPD and finding the love of his life. James Caan appears as “Ed Deline” in ‘Las Vegas‘.

Another star, Josh Duhamel, will appear in the Michael Bay’s film ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’. The film is a sequel of the super hit movie ‘Transformers“. The film will open on 24 June. Duhamel is to appear along with Shia Labeouf, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Megan Fox, Ramon Rodriguez, and John Turturro. The film is about the Deception forces, which return to Earth, to take Sam Witwicky as a prisoner. The young hero comes to know about the origins of the Transformers, and he is joined by Optimus Prime, and the two together make the efforts to save the humankind. They get ready for the second epic battle, as Optimus forms an alliance with the international army. John Duhamel is playing “Danny McCoy” in Las Vegas tv show.

The very impressive Ed Deline, a.k.a. James Caan from Las Vegas

Now, when Las Vegas tv show is off air, what we can all do, is speculate about the future of the series. And, this future is definitely not in form of seasons as NBC Network has cancelled the series officially, after five consecutive seasons. Hence, there would be no sixth season of Las Vegas.

But, a little possibility of a spin-off or some movie version is here. It’s not confirmed or told by anybody, my guess only. It’s all based on the trend which most of the series like to follow after they get cancelled. Let’s see if the creators of Las Vegas have any such kinda plans!

Anyways, let’s now talk about the most liked character of Las Vegas. It was Ed Deline, portrayed by James Caan. During the first four seasons of Las Vegas, Ed was one of the leading characters of the series and started appearing as a guest star from season 5 onwards. We saw him as the Former President of Operations and Head of Security of the Montecito Resort & Casino. He was also the former member of the Board of Directors. The skills and abilities he possessed, as a professional, helped him to serve as a father figure to his employees, most notably Danny. Occasionally, we saw him using violence as a means to get what he wished to have and the incidents of the past affected his present, in several ways. Throughout the series, Ed Deline did a marvelous job and secured a strong fan base. Helping him to carry out the plot requirements were Danny McCoy, Mike Cannon and Delinda Deline etc.

James Caan has a great personality and equally good looks, which helped him to be chosen as Ed Deline when several other names were also in the list. And, he never let the creators regret their decision, by giving his best and I think no body else could have portrayed the role so brilliantly…… really, such a great job because of which we still miss him even when the series is off air.

‘Las Vegas’… Just remembering the series!

Who else misses ‘Las Vegas’? Well, I do. It was a show which became a victim of Writers’ strike and got cancelled, despite of had a very good plot and presentation. After 5 successive seasons, series’ executive producer, announced that it’d not be possible to restart the production as it’d cost him too much. So, ‘Las Vegas’ went into the box of cancelled shows.

Series was set in the fictional Montecito Casino and it followed the best Las Vegas Surveillance team, appointed to maintain the security of Sin City’s biggest Resorts and Casinos. Series finale ‘Three Weddings and a Funeral (2)’ was aired on February 15, 08. And, it was end to a drama which ran for 5 seasons and just 19 episodes were aired during the fifth season of series. It starred very well known celebrities such as James Caan, Josh Duhamel, and Tom Selleck etc who’re appointed to complete the mission of Las Vegas Surveillance team.

Well, it was pretty hard to give up a drama which you loved for several seasons. Suppose, if writers’ strike would not have been happened, then, there’re some chances of some more episodes. But it happened, and ‘Las Vegas’ became one of the several victims of WGA, which went away just because of the strike. Series finale was not a satisfying episode, cliffhangers were left unsolved and many things were yet to be defined. In fact, I didn’t watch it as a series finale….. I treated it just as an ordinary episode. But later, I came to know that it ended the show. Hmm….. Who’ll answer the unsolved queries? I think… no one. Things are just over and there’s not even a single ray of hope. Hey! ‘Las Vegas’ needs to be back…… however, I know it’s im-possible!

It’s Halloween time on Las Vegas

Celebrate this Halloween night with Las Vegas this time. Let me make a correction, I am not suggesting you to go to Las Vegas for Halloween in fact I am trying to tell you that on this Halloween get an idea from Las Vegas TV show, which has unfortunately jumped off the screen recently in February 2008. I am talking about one of its wonderful episodes, ‘When life gives you lemon bars‘.

This episode is pretty entertaining as preparations for Halloween are on in the resort. Piper is trying various colorful (a few funny too) dresses to scare everybody in Montecito, but poor Piper fails in doing so.

This is really a happening episode and colors of Halloween are visible in everybody’s acts out there. Cooper is trying to lure a whale into casino. But his presence in the casino makes a potential customer to leave the casino. And to make over the loss for Sam he allows her to play poker with her billionaire friends.

On the other side of Montecito, Delinda finds a wonderful pastry chef and she is quite happy with her, but the chef is having really bitter attitude towards others so may be she will soon get fired too.

It seems that Halloween has brought some gift for Mike, as he has found his dream girl, but later on he discovers her past and now she doesn’t seem that good to him.

So in short, in some terms, Halloween was scaring for everybody. The things happened like as if God has said Halloween to all of them. And today God’s full concentration was upon Montecito to play pranks. I really enjoyed these terrible situations of all. Although, this is not a comedy series, but this episode really made me laugh hard. It was fun today watching it here. I would like to watch more of it.

It is pretty sad that such a wonderful show is not coming back to screen. I just want to convey to the show creators that if not the series again then please give us a spin off or movie kind of thing at least.

Do you miss Montecito?

Hey I surely surely miss all the stuff from Montecito. I often think what’s going on there, and then it hits in my mind that Las Vegas has stepped down from screen in February this year. Oh I was so angry when the show got cancelled and many things on the show remained unanswered.

Like what happens with Delinda? Did she marry? Well there were just preparations of weddings going on in the season five but after the shocking news of plane crash everything got on hold. So the finale was like incomplete. I am sad that just due to writer’s strike, the show got cancelled and never returned back.

Why don’t they people go for a Las Vegas Movie and the story should be based upon the final season instead of the sixth season. I suppose if any such movie comes then it will be rocking. Because we were such used to watch each and every happening going on in Montecito, that now we miss all that on every Friday. I was overly impressed by the character of Delinda as she was shown the person with amazing intellect and her proficiency in French was brilliant.

That’s why I am keen to know what happens to her in the end as she will now appear with a new born, if the season six happens. But there are yet no chances of another season. Oh I am really curious about the story. I was missing the show so much and that’s why today I searched it on this site and downloaded episodes of Las Vegas and it just brought back all the sweet memories of the show. I have heard that now the season five is also coming on DVDs on July 22. Well I’ll definitely buy one and will gift it to my friend who is huge fan of the show like me. May be I can get a chance to dine with her like Delinda and Cooper did in the finale. You guys do try this…….

Three Weddings and a Funeral Part 1 and 2

So, Las Vegas is over. Season 5 finale was a two hour episode entitled ‘Three Weddings and a Funeral’. Season 5 was good-rated and was really an appreciable season from series. Okay, I’ll give it 8 from 10. So, how much from your side?

First wedding on episode relates to Piper and Mike who are officially married. Everything seems good. But Mike’s parents discover all that, oh! Life is so hard. But Michael tells lie and says that they’re not married yet but are getting married on Saturday. Oops!! Is it really possible to plan a marriage in just two days?

Second couple is Danny and Delinda who go after Mike and Piper’s plans. While helping them all to arrange Bachelor parties, they decide to plan their own future. Delinda’s mom comes for wedding and makes her aware that she and her dad had split up. Finally, the third wedding is of Sam and Vic Manning.

They are in love after the death of Casey when Vic told Sam that he loved her. Do you remember Sam’s words to Delinda, “I’m still in love with Casey and whenever I look at Vic, I see him”? So Sam agrees to marry Vic.

Some thieves try to steal a rare stamp, up for auction when Danny, Piper and Mitch are taken hostage. On the other hand, Delinda and Cooper had a nice dinner at restaurant. Delinda uses the opportunity to get to know their mysterious owner.

All couples are preparing for their marriage and suddenly everyone receives unexpected news. Montecito jet crashed on its way to the airport, and all the passengers are dead.

Here ended the Las Vegas season 5 . Well, I don’t have latest info about season 6 but would like to share with you buddies, whenever I will get.
